- Bachelor of Arts (Japanese Studies), Tokyo University of Foreign Studies
- Advanced Diploma of Translating (Japanese to English), Central TAFEWA
- Advanced Diploma of Interpreting (Japanese-English), Central TAFEWA
NAATI Certification:
- Accredited Professional Interpreter and Certified Interpreter (J-E)
- Accredited Professional Translator and Certified Translator (J to E)
Professional Experience: Heather has provided high quality language services to national and international clients around Australia and the Asia-Pacific for over 40 years. Heather is an experienced interpreter, translator and manager of interpreters and translators. She has over 20 years’ experience designing and delivering training to interpreters, translators and language services users and pioneered and is a recognised industry expert in the nationally endorsed qualifications that BIC offers. Heather joined Babel International College in 2017, where – in addition to training – she has designed assessments and written course content. She is also the author of the learner workbooks BIC uses to support delivery of the interpreting skill set.
